Descripción:
1. Lidocaine hydrochloride is amide class local anesthetics,Antiarrhythmic,Actuacion larga, agente estabilizador de membrana contra la arritmia ventricular. Originalmente desarrollado como un anestésico local. Store at room temperature away from light and moisture. Do not freeze.
2. Lidocaine xylocaine, or lignocaine (AAN, former BAN) is a common local anesthetic and class-1b antiarrhythmic drug. The efficacy profile of lidocaine as a local anesthetic is characterized by a rapid onset of action and intermediate duration of efficacy. Epinephrine vasoconstricts arteries reducing bleeding and also delays the resorption of lidocaine, casi duplicando la duración de la anestesia.
Usos
This medication is used on the skin to stop itching and pain from certain skin conditions (e.g., scrapes, minor burns, eczema, insect bites) and to treat minor discomfort and itching caused by hemorrhoids and certain other problems of the genital/anal area (e.g., anal fissures, itching around the vagina/rectum). Some forms of this medication are also used to decrease discomfort or pain during certain medical procedures/exams (e.g., sigmoidoscopy, cystoscopy). Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that works by causing temporary numbness/loss of feeling in the skin and mucous membranes.
Solicitud :
Topical lidocaine has been shown in some patients to relieve the pain of postherpetic neuralgia (acomplication of shingles), though there is not enough study evidence to recommend it as a first-linetreatment. IV lidocaine also has uses as a temporary fix for tinnitus. Although not completely curingthe disorder, it has been shown to reduce the effects by around two thirds.
Lidocaine hydrochloride injection administered intravenously or intramuscularly, is specifically indicatedin the acute management of ventricular arrhythmias such as those occurring in relation to acutemyocardial infarction, or during cardiac manipulation, such as cardiac surgery.
