Descripción:
Bupivacaine is only found in individuals that have used or taken this drug. It is a widely used local anesthetic agent. Bupivacaine blocks the generation and the conduction of nerve impulses, presumably by increasing the threshold for electrical excitation in the nerve, by slowing the propagation of the nerve impulse, and by reducing the rate of rise of the action potential. Bupivacaine binds to the intracellular portion of sodium channels and blocks sodium influx into nerve cells, which prevents depolarization. In general, the progression of anesthesia is related to the diameter, myelination and conduction velocity of affected nerve fibers. Clinically, the order of loss of nerve function is as follows: (1) pain, (2) temperature, (3) touch, (4) proprioception, Estanozolol semielaborado de la serie líquida de esteroides (5) skeletal muscle tone. The analgesic effects of Bupivicaine are thought to potentially be due to its binding to the prostaglandin E2 receptors, subtype EP1 (PGE2EP1), which inhibits the production of prostaglandins, thereby reducing fever, inflammation, and hyperalgesia.
Solicitud:
Bupivacaine is related chemically and pharmacologically to the aminoacyl local anesthetics. It is a homologue of mepivacaine and is chemically related to lidocaine. All three of these anesthetics contain an amide linkage between the aromatic nucleus and the amino. They differ in this respect from the procaine-type local anesthetics, which have an ester linkage.
Bupivacaine hydrochloride injection, USP – Sterile isotonic solution containing sodium chloride. The pH of the solution is adjusted to between 4 Estanozolol semielaborado de la serie líquida de esteroides 6.5 with sodium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid.
Bupivacaine is an anesthetic (numbing medicine) that blocks the nerve impulses that send pain signals to your brain.
Bupivacaine is used as a local (in only one area) anesthetic.
Bupivacaine is given as an epidural injection into the spinal column to produce numbness during labor, surgery, or certain medical procedures.
Bupivacaine is also used as an anesthetic for dental procedures.
Bupivacaine may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
