Beschreibung
Lentaron is a type I, steroidal aromatase inhibitor. It is used in the treatment of estrogen-receptor positive breast cancer in post-menopausal women. It is available as an intramuscular depot injection.
Lentaron is often used to suppress estrogen production from anabolic steroids or prohormones. It also acts as a prohormone to 4-hydroxytestosterone, an active steroid which displays weak androgenic activity in addition to acting as a mild aromatase inhibitor.
Lentaron has poor oral bioavailability and as such is no longer popular as many orally active aromatase inhibitors have been identified.
Lentaron Application
Lentaron is available as an intramuscular depot injection, and is often found in 2 ml ampules of 125 mg/ml solution. The recommended dosage for bodybuilder purposes is the same as that for advanced breast cancer therapy, namely 250 mg pro Woche. Lentaron can also be found, and taken in the same 250 mg per week dosage in its oral form, but the oral had poor bioavailability is no longer a popular version of this drug.
