Description:
Levetiracetam is an anticonvulsant medication used to treat epilepsy.It is the S-enantiomer of etiracetam, structurally similar to the prototypical nootropic drug piracetam.
Application:
(1)The (S)-enantiomer of the ethyl analog of Piracetam. Used as an anticonvulsant.
(2)The (S)-enantiomer of Etiracetam (E932970) and the ethyl analog of Piracetam (P500800).Used as an anticonvulsant.
(3)A compound which inhibits burst firing without affecting normal neuronal excitability
(4)Used as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures in adults and children 4 years of age and older with epilepsy.
