Procaine hcl Information:
Procaine Hcl is a kind of local anesthetics, for local anesthesia, nerve block etc, which can block the conduction of nerve fibers with anesthetic effect, strong function, low toxicity, and no addiction, but the skin, mucous membrane penetration force is weak, not suitable for surface anesthesia, clinically used to infiltration, spine and conduction anesthesia. Procaine Hydrochloride is indicated for the production of local or regional analgesia and anesthesia by local infiltration and peripheral nerve block techniques.
Procaine Hcl is the hydrochloride salt form of procaine, a benzoic acid derivative with local anesthetic and antiarrhythmic properties. Procaine binds to and inhibits voltage-gated sodium channels, thereby inhibiting the ionic flux required for the initiation and conduction of impulses. In addition, this agent increases electrical excitation threshold, reduces rate of rise of action potential and slows nerve impulse propagation thereby causing loss of sensation.
